Elevation Calc privacy policy
Effective September 27, 2026
Elevation Calc is an elevation and slope calculator for iPhone. We built it to work entirely on your device, and it collects no information about you.
What we collect
Nothing. Elevation Calc does not connect to the internet and contains no networking code. It has no accounts, analytics, advertising, tracking, or third-party code. It uses only Apple's own frameworks.
Permissions
Elevation Calc never asks for access to your camera, location, contacts, photos, microphone, or notifications.
What stays on your iPhone
To keep your history, Elevation Calc saves your recent calculations in its own storage on your iPhone:
- up to 50 elevation calculations, with the point names you entered
- up to 50 slope calculations, with the names you entered
This information is never sent to us or anyone else. You can delete it with Clear All in the app, or by deleting the app, which removes all of it.
Purchases
Elevation Calc is sold through the App Store. Apple handles the payment, and we do not receive your name, payment details, or other personal information from your purchase.
Crash reports
If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone's settings, Apple may send us anonymous crash reports. Apple collects these, not Elevation Calc, and they do not identify you. You can turn this off at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements.
Children
Elevation Calc does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the effective date. If Elevation Calc ever starts collecting data, we will say so here before that version of the app is released.
