Worddust privacy policy
Effective October 18, 2026
The short version: Worddust does not collect, share or sell any personal information. It has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and it works entirely offline. If you give the fairy your name, it stays on your iPhone.
Who we are
Worddust is an iPhone app published by Fairfax AppWorks ("we", "us"). Questions about this policy can be sent to support@fairfaxappworks.com.
Information we collect
None. We do not collect any information about you or your device, and we have no servers that the app talks to. The app does not connect to the internet and does not require an account or any sign-in.
Information that stays on your device
Your name. The first time you open Worddust, the fairy asks what name she should call you. You can skip this. If you enter a name, it is saved in the app's private storage on your iPhone so she can use it in her message, for example "This is the word you should focus on today, Sam." It is never sent to us or anyone else.
Settings the app keeps. Worddust also saves whether it has already asked for your name, and a random number created when you first open the app, which gives each install its own order of daily words. Neither is linked to you or sent anywhere.
All of this is removed when you delete the app.
Permissions
Worddust does not ask for access to your photos, camera, microphone, location, contacts, notifications, tracking permission or any other protected data.
Third parties
Worddust contains no third-party code, advertising, analytics or crash-reporting services. We do not share your information with anyone because we do not have any.
Apple may provide us with aggregated, anonymous statistics such as downloads and crash reports if you have chosen to share diagnostics with app developers in your iOS settings. These do not identify you.
Children
Worddust does not collect information from anyone, including children under 13, and is suitable for all ages.
Security
Because your data stays on your device, it is protected by your iPhone's own security features such as your passcode and device encryption.
Your rights
As we hold no personal information about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete. You can remove everything the app has stored at any time by deleting the app.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, for example if a future version adds a feature that handles data differently, we will update this page and the effective date above, and will describe the change in the app's release notes.
