Worddust terms of use
Effective October 18, 2026
The short version: Worddust is a small moment of inspiration, not advice. Use it for anything lawful, and it is provided as-is.
1. Agreement
These Terms of Use ("Terms") apply to your use of the Worddust app ("the App"), published by Fairfax AppWorks ("we", "us"). By downloading or using the App you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
The App is licensed to you through the Apple App Store. Apple's Standard End User License Agreement ("Standard EULA") also applies. If these Terms conflict with the Standard EULA about Apple's rights or your rights against Apple, the Standard EULA controls.
2. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on Apple devices you own or control, for your own personal use, as permitted by the App Store usage rules.
You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile or resell the App, remove any notices from it, or use it to build a competing product, except where the law gives you these rights regardless of this clause.
3. Inspiration, not advice
Worddust is made for inspiration and enjoyment. The daily word, the quotes and the fairy's messages are not medical, psychological, financial or professional advice, and the App is not a substitute for any of them. If you are struggling, please reach out to a qualified professional or someone you trust.
4. Motion and light
The App shows moving, glowing particles on a dark background. If you are sensitive to motion or light effects, please use it with care and stop if it makes you uncomfortable.
5. Content and ownership
The App itself, including its code, interface, artwork, words, quotes, icon, design and name, remains our property or that of our licensors. These Terms give you no ownership of them. Any quotation we attribute to another person remains theirs.
6. Acceptable use
Use the App lawfully. Do not use it to infringe anyone's rights or to violate any law.
7. Updates and availability
We may update, change or discontinue features of the App at any time. We do not promise that the App will always be available or free of errors.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits or use, arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the twelve months before the claim arose, or US$10 if you paid nothing. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
10. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information. In short, it collects none.
11. Termination
These Terms apply until ended. You can end them at any time by deleting the App. We may end your license if you breach these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will do so.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will change the effective date above and, for material changes, note it in the App's release notes. Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where your local consumer-protection laws require otherwise.
